Bring your paints (oils or acrylics) and think texture and colour!
Take advantage of a range of fun and creative techniques to let texture enhance your painting. Discover how working back into layers of colours and glazing can open up new painting possibilities.

MATERIALS LIST:

Oil / acrylic paints (good quality brands will give better results!)

Painting medium/s. (please no turpentine or turps based products. For oil paints, a low odour alternative such as ‘Lean Medium’ by Art Spectrum is ideal. For cleaning oil painting brushes, use a low odour solvent, such as ‘Odourless Solvent’ by Art Spectrum.

Brushes in a range of sizes and shapes

Optional: Fan/blender brush

Painting/palette knife/knives (metal not plastic please!)

Palette (eg: disposable parchment)

canvas pad (not paper ) or canvas scraps for exercises

Primed artist quality (not 'Montemarte' ) canvas boards / stretched canvas / wood painting panel, etc for main painting

Rags, and more rags! (for both removal painting techniques and clean-up)
